Well this is symmetry and quiet interesting composition by framing like that and wall pattern witch almost despaired so we have white/yellow colour configuration - nice!!!

Hi John,
Mooie frisse plaat zo met deze kleuren. Net niet helemaal symmetrisch, maar dat valt amper op.
Lekker helder en scherp. Leuke quote trouwens ! :-)
Overigens, had de titel niet beter "door to warmth" kunnen zijn, want achter die deur zit warmte. ;-) als de kachel aanstaat tenminste.

John I love this simplicity. The perfect colour with the white framing it so well. Yes it was a cold few days and now we are on our way to +10. I hope it will melt a bit of the snow you love so much so I can see my steps at least. Just a perfect, simple well composed and taken shot. Bravo.

Hello Sir John,

I learnt English in a school which was administred by the Americans. In my first grade, during verbal test a teacher asked me how would call a person if you are in the room: I replied, "Come here". The teacher smiled and then asked, "Well, if you want him to go out of the room how would say": I thought for a while and answered, "I shall go out of the room then say Come Here".

Your shot reminded me that conversation and the first look of this image talked to me "Come Here!".

Nou John,

Pak je dan warm in als je je neus buiten de deur steekt. Ik heb al diverse foto's gezien met trappen naar de voordeur, maar ik ga nu begrijpen waarom, de sneeuw komt natuurlijk af en toe hoog, en dan kan je wel zo naar binnen lopen - heel bijzonder.
Is dat nog een extra deur voor de deur om de kou tegen te houden?
Dit vind ik nou leuk om te zien - report from Canada - en jij weet wat bijzonder is.

Hello John, simplicity worked great here! Nice photo. If we got as much snow as the ws photo it would take 2 days to dig out! Crazy Ohio weather, it was 10 deg F here after New Years & plenty of snow. Today it's about 50 deg F & the snow is gone. Take care & enjoy! :} Don

Bedankt for the felicitaties voor mijn verjaardag, welleswaar op de prachtige wenskaart van onze Els, maar toch.. daar kraait geen koolmeesje naar.
Werkelijk een prachtige foto hier, van een closed door.
Doet mij denken aan de beautiful song van Charlie Rich, "Behind close doors".
De onbetreden sneeuw op de treden maakt het een extra sterke foto.
De omlijsting werkt als een OPEN deur.
