[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This woodpecker likes to come everyday at my feeder as I always keep some fatty food for it, this is a female, as there is no red spot on the head, this is the best way to tell them apart. The male looks the same but the bright red spot on the back of its head. They are not really nervous, quite tolerable of human close to them. I shot this one about 4 feet away.

What a catch, I spot the suet in the holder, and the clearness of its claws and bright higlight in the eye is just fabulous.

Great catch. The shutter speed and f stop selection was perfect providing sharpness and good DoF. I will buy some suet myself soon and see if it attacts different birds in our backyard. Thanks for the idea. Karin
