I love this shot. The colors are magnificent and I like the reflections on the ice. I like how this is the only tree that has lights. It adds even more mystery to the photo.

funny note about your son...too bad you didn't capture that as well. I have two sons, and they have done the same type of things.

That really is a wonderful shot. I didn't think you'd get anything worth while because of the constant wind that kept the branches (and the lights) in motion, but this is really amazing!

hi linda, nice night shot, good exposure and composition, yes ice can be freaky! we deal with black ice almost every morning and night, you cant really see it but its on the blacktop of roads and is very dangerous

The more I read your notes , the more I laugh (^_^). Great to see you had so much fun ( your son hides his emotions very well in front of the camera - quite a poker face LOL !).

Surrealistic , saturated or not, the effect is spectacular, the blend of the blue lights with the amber street lights .
