Hi Friends,
Its been a busy few weeks since I finally got my Husband home for the winter. We've already been to Vermont twice and headed back again in a month!
I haven't had a bunch of time to take photos but still have a few I've saved that I thought might be worthy to share with you. I've always found this fasinating. Its a symbol of alot of hard work, the guys have tied this ship up to withstand the powers of the forces of winter, wind, fluctuating water levels etc. Tieing up the ship takes the men pretty much all day to do and about the same to "un"tie it! Lets hope that day doesn't come any too soon though!
Thanks for your visit hope your all warm and dry!
Donna :o)

Hi Donna,
Thats got to be a pretty big vessel to take all those cables to hold it.
I'm curious about the purpose of the twine I see where the cables crisscross...
This is a pretty neat shot and an important nautical aspect, I'm sure. Good POV and composition!
Cheers!

Hi Donna:

"A chain is only as strong as its weakest link."

That can really be said for anything in life!! It is interesting to see this Donna, thank you.

And yes, it is hot and dry here. The farmers and gardens are desperate for rain...

Very interesting Donna. I like how you can see the shoreline in the background. It sure is a large steel cable to ensure the safety of the ship. I like all the colour involved, I guess they are painted many times to help prevent rust. You have such clarity and perfect composition. Well done.

Wanda
