Old Blue Eyes

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is another experiment in desaturation. I was walking on Rue Universite in Montreal last week, going to lunch, when I started to pass this optometrist's office, but the eyeglasses hanging in front of the store caught my eye and I took a few shots. When I looked at the images after lunch, it wasn't as interesting as I had hoped, but the blue of the sign really stood out from the rest of the image, so I decided to work with that idea.
I selected the eyeglasses, and used the Levels command to brighten and deepen the blue. I then inverted the selection and used the Lens Blur filter to blur everything but the eyeglasses. Then I cropped the image to get rid of an alarm box to the left of the door, then sharpened the image, resized it, saved and uploaded it. |

Good catch and good PP work! I like the way you made them float. I may have cropped a bit more of the right to remove some of the window which creates a distracting white area. TFS!
