Interesting the things you find along the beach shore after a storm. Funny thing is usually the boats wash in during a storm in the summer not the winter. This boat however did wash in during a summer storm and no one either claimed it or decieded to wait until spring to bring it further up on shore. Well , I guess they waited too long. The boat was fine there for awhile, the harbor had frozen up , but the boat was well up on shore, but when the wind started blowing and the waves started pushing the ice in further and further up , the ice finally took the boat in with it.

Chalk another up to Mother Nature!
By the way, we've been enjoying some great winter weather here if your a Polar Bear or Penquin, its been 0F and with the windchill -26F for two days now!
So no picture taking outside!

Oh no! What an interesting scene Donna. I have to study it to see what you have here. What I think are rough waves - are really broken up ice. What a mess the boat is, and the ice is so dirty!
Good shot, and thank you for shaing
Janice

LOL!!! Some people really are nuts to let a boat like that drift.
But we never know the story behind that.
Excellent capture.
Good sharpness and details.

Very good capture Donna.
It really depicts the situation , those huge blocks of ice tell us the story that is to happen to the boat.
Keep warm

Hi Donna,
You get the award for most unusual view today IMHO. Nice detail, and hurray for the splash of red on the boat that gave up the ghost.
All the best,
Karen

Hi Captain.Nice shot good composition and beautiful colours.
Regards from your friend, Bosko.

Hello Donna,
Hopefully it is not your boat!
This little nutshell has nothing to put up against the forces of nature...
A fine documentary and a well composed presentation!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Donna, at least this is not a problem we have hear in Bahrain, the last time we had frost was in 1964 for just one night! Still there are many uncared for boats here! Good shot and well spotted. Regards, Les

Hello Donna,
Looks pretty strange condition. Ice, water, broken boat.

Hi Donna,

Just checkin up on you - seems to me that you can be frozen right about now - hope that is not the case.
Interesting capture, strange that someone just left his boat for the elements to play with.

You posted this while I was away, Donna so I had to come and visit it. I really like the tones in this. The dirty ice and the chunks showing the peril this boat is in. I wonder did the ice finally crush it? Great POV and wonderful colour. Well done.
Warm Regards
Wanda

Amazing how people do not look after their boats, we see similar things here just no ice. Nicely composed Donna, good colour and teh muchiness of the ice well defined. TFS.

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Tamar Tides IV’. A night of winds gusting to 110kph, blackouts, exploding transformers, trees down...I think AUtumn is here.

Hi Donna !
interesting subject.
Great sharpness and nicely presented.
