Bonjour

At this time of the year, maple syrup makers are getting ready for the coming season. This old shed is used to store the equipment. The sugar shak is situated farther on the hill behind.

Bonjour Serge,
WoW!

Hello Serge, great capture of this winter scene, can imagine the smoke rising from the chimney, from the warm fire those logs will provide,I wonder how many buckets are used in the collection of the sap for this particular location?

Ron

Hello Serge,

Very nice! A pity you will not be able to make such a place warm. It would be a great hut for holidays! Hmmm, holidays.... ;-)

Greetings!

This is a sign of spring, Serge, to me at least. The prep work to get the equipment ready, make sure the wood is in place. When my grandfather made syrup he also took a load of hay out to the camp. Does this mean the producer uses wood instead of oil? How wonderful that would be. What I am trying to say is I love this and the feelings it brings. I love the way you have positioned the wood and the storage shed, with an interesting track thru the snow. Lovely light and contrast. Magnifique, Mon Cher Ami.

Amitiés sincères
Wanda

Hi Serge,
A familiar early March scene is wonderfully captured with the trie tracks making a lovely line to seperate the wood pile and old sugar shack. The details are brilliantly sharp with the vibrant blue sky making a great backdrop for this charming winter photo.
Regards, Tom
