Joseph:

Do not worry Mary , we will be just fine. In a few days, we won't see anymore snow. We just have to walk this way..... for a week ...

(^_^)

Well I wanted to join the Green theme proposed. But honestly . Green is a very rare color up here these days . In fact, it is still snowing as I post this photo.

Since Easter is approaching , I propose you another subject . And you are lucky , it is not an image from the docks ( LOL !)

This image was taken before the last snow storms... But on that Sunday, I stopped by the cemetery Saint-Louis to take a few shots on my way home after the night and morning out on the docks.

Everything or almost everything was burried under snow except a few monuments. The ligth was just right, as I walked by this one.

Have a great week-end !
Robert

Bonjour Robert,
Si ce n'était de la blancheur de la neige, on pourrait les croire au désert en route pour l'Égypte.
J'aime le point de vue que tu as choisi, la composition et la présentation avec le grand cadre noir.
Très beau!

Michel.

Brilliant spot Robert. Crystal clear, lovingly composed - and even seasonal - oh, yes, funny too!

Regards
colin

Very nice Robert. Well composed, with perfect exposure and WB.

Hi Robert,

humourous indeed! i thought it was a miniature made of chocolate behind something like flour or sugar until i read the note. very fine capture with immacluate clarity & sharpness. i like the 'cleanliness' in everything - the snow, sky & monument.

Thanks for sharing.

Regards
Agoes

Very sharp and clear image. Well seen. However, I would have cropped the sky to give a more elongated shape to the image.
cheers,
Cristian

My goodness! At first I thought that you had set this up but to think that you saw it this!
Fabulous capture with a great deal of humour, and just what we need under these mountains of snow!
Thanks for sharing this one!
oh -- and about the technical aspects: excellent composition and truly beautifully handled whites in that so-easily-overexposed snow (I think that WE have been overexposed TO snow these days !!)
Silke

Hello Robert.
Great photo with lovely blue sky contrasting with the snow. Great light on the sculpture. I like your composition with nice lines.
I do like your frames.

Hello Robert. I like the way you composed the note as much as this picture. This is simplicity at its best. The white snow which is also the horizon against that spotless blue sky. Nicely cropped giving the statue room to move ahead in the frame if the need arises. Who needs green when you can take pictures like this one. Very well done and best regards. Jusni

Bonjour Robert,

South is good, Robert. An interesting perspective, and a clever alternative to the green theme. Our snow is finally receding -- none so pristine as this remains. I like the simplicity of this shot and the POV of the family seeming to ascend the ridge of snow. Color that sepia for desert sand, and it'd be even more convincing :)

Haha, well spotted, Robert. Beautiful colours with excellent contrast here. I can imagine you must be tired of all that snow by now... but here it really helps the compo.
Well done, TFS

C'est pas chaud pour se promener en sandales :-).
Excellente composition.
Bien vu

Hi robert,

I fully agree! A grey theme would be very easy these days here... Nice light and nice gradual blue. Like it!

Dennis
