Yellowknife House
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French] |
This strange house belongs to one of the architects who designed the Yellowknife Legislative Building.
Sorry for the poor quality of the picture. I shot it at a 1 megapixel format (1280 X 960) because my camera was low on memory. It was the summer of 2002 and memory cards were pretty expensive at that time, especially in this region. The following day, I payed 120$ (except the sales taxes) for a 128Mb smartmedia card ... |

Hi Michel,
Interesting architecture here, makes me wonder if one would slide from one part of the house to the other? Your placement of it in your photo is really good and the way it is sandwiched between rock and trees is effective. My only comment is that it could use a little more clarity to better define the texture of the wood, the foliage and rocks etc. Perhaps a faster shutter speed next time would help, or the use of a tripod. Just a suggestion! Thanks for sharing and well done.

Hi Michel,
I hope it comes with an internal cable car LOL, it's certainly an interesting building making the most of the available space, I have been watching Yellowknife on TV over the last few weeks showing the Ice Road Truckers running up to the gold and diamond mines, so I actually know where Yellowknife is, interesting shot any way.
Well done
Regards Andy
