I am skating on thin ice with this one, but hope to get away with it: if you CLICK THE IMAGE, you get a panorama shot from our last weekend trip to Waterton Lakes National Park. I just thought the usual small pic of a panorama is kind of boring with the borders to bring the picture dimension to the upload size ratio of 1:2.5, so I thought I try something different by cloning in a mirror reflection with myself emerging from it.
It was a very nice warm weekend with lots of wildlife around (not counting us!). As you can see, Upper Waterton Lake is still very frozen (and I am up to my ears in it, lol).
-----------------------------------
Addendum: Linda asked about how I did this, so not to keep this exclusive, here it is:
First of all, read the info about Panoramas
I use a automatic stitch program in my Canon Software package that came with my new camera.
From the panorama info above, you can see that the ratio that allows you to upload a larger version is 1 : 2.5.
After you stitch and downsize (separate picture save - 800 pixels wide) you will find that you have room left to add to the height (at 800 pixels that would be a total height of 320 pixels).
I just enlarged my canvas (black bg, anchor on top) to 320 pixels height. Save as.
Bring up the previous version 800 pixels wide. Flip vertically. Go to picture size. Uncheck 'constrain proportions', then re-size height to the size of the black strip you added in the previous step. This will now look like a mirror image on a slanted surface. (you can do similar also with the rectangular selection tool: select, right click and go to either 'free transform' or 'skew'). Save as.
Go back to the 800x320 picture, highlight the black strip, cut and paste the vertically flipped/compressed height (slanted Mirror image)
Keep the area selected. You can adjust with curves etc, - I also did some spotlight to darken the outer edges of the mirror image.
Deselect after adjustments are satisfactory. Save as.
I then brought up my portrait and cloned it in roughly. Use the history brush to 'erase' unwanted stuff.
After adding some shadow with the burn tool, I then used the 'Liquify' program to make ripples around my head.

The instructions pertain to my version of Adobe Photoshop 7 - you might have different software, but I hope you get the drift.

You have to downsize the original large stitch to the max allowed in the panorama instructions above.

Upload the small, cloned version, then follow the link in edit to upload the large panorama (max 400kb).

Voila!
