| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hello TLer's I would need a bit of help. I quite like this picture but it was a bright sunny day and I have blown out the highlights. I have had the same problem on most of the photos in full sun. Do you have any suggestions for the future.
I was out walking looking for birds and what not to photograph when this older gentleman and his granddaughter walked by. They stopped at the edge of the creek and started to identify various things around them.
It was about 10:00 am in the morning, the temperature was still a bit cold. By the end of the day it was a 15 degrees C, a true spring day. People were walking around with smiles on their faces and some wore just shirts.
Thank you for looking,
Clive |

Hi Clive.
Honestly I don't like the composition here. Man's back and bottom are the main part of this picture. Maybe if this was taken from behind both of them and showed their faces I would like it more. This is my personal opinion and doesn't mean that this is a bad picture.
The sharpness is good and colours and fine. Also girls face has nice expression.
Suggestion for shooting in sunny day condition. Try to reduce contrast using camera menu (Picture style settings, I have it in Canon, should be in Nikon as well) and most of all reduce exposure compensation.
Have a good day.
