[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Helen's Friday Theme Challenge was a bit of a challenge for me: should I post an old picture of a real walk in the woods or shoot something fresh for today.
I can't walk too far just now, but I will once again in a few months time.
So, this image of a grape hyacinth reaching out for something better: a sing of hope, I think.

Tech: captured in raw on aperture priority, made all adjustments in raw, converted to jpg and cropped slightly, reduced, sharpened flower only, and added signature

Thanks for looking and for your suggestions for improvement. I will post one more image before I take an extended break. Be well everyone!

Hi there Silke
Like the inclusion of the long stem to pull us to the flower - BG nicely handled.

You will be missed, take care.

Dan

Hello Silke,

Here, less is more!
The litle grape hyacinth, in its different stages of development just grabs the scene!
The stem is like a long arm holding out the petals for all to enjoy.
Lovely sharp image.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
You'll be running around soon. Then these handicapped days will be just like a bad dream.
Have you made plans yet?

PL :-)

Very similar in shape and colour to the bluebells I have in my garden Silke. Nicely composed with the stalk drooping across the frame, good focus and lovely colour. TFS,
David

Hi Silke

Well composed using the rule of thirds, with excellent color of the striking blue flowers & good sharpness & lighting. Tfs, & enjoy your 'rest time'.

Beautiful and poetic, dear Silke. Masterfully done. Wishing you all the best. Janos **

Hi Silke,

It is almost time for you to return home, wish you a safe flight.

I have planted a 100 or so of these bulbs, they look so great in Spring. So it may not be a woodland walk, but it is a lovely picture.
