The Huron-Wendat
The Huron-Wendat are part of the Iroquoian linguistic family. They account for nearly 3,000 in Quebec, of which a little more than the third live on-reserve. Their territory is located near Quebec. There is only one Huron-Wendat community in Quebec: Wendake. They once lived mainly on agriculture and commerce. They held monopoly of corn & tobacco.

The Iroquois, including the Huron, revealed pop-corn to Europe. The Huron called it "ogarita", while the French called it "wheat in bloom".

Hello Tsilla
Nice to meet you and thank you for your comments on my Iroquois village.Looks like we are on the same wave length.

Very nice composition of the Huron re enactment, very sharp and colorful. Its a pity it was cropped so close to the bottom. Still very nicely presented with good pp work.
