The Moon's diameter is 3,474 km and the average center-to-center distance from the Earth to the Moon is 384,403 km. Moon (Luna, Latin) is Earth's only natural satellite. There is a great deal of difference in temperature on the surface of the Moon from day (side facing the Sun, mean temp. 107C) to night (side facing away from the Sun, mean temp. -153C)... imagine the maximums...
