Nice capture of the pretty lilacs. The composition is very good as is the detail. I don't think the fence stands a chance.

I love this flowers.At my mother's home...have a similar lilac tree...smell terific.
Here in Japan I've never see lilacs until now.
What a pleasure is for me to wach againg and again...I almoust can smell it.

Hi Dot,

A pity you can not share the smell of the lilacs, that almost collapsing fence made of old sun bleached wood makes it an attractive picture/composition.

Very pretty Dot. I have a lot of Lilacs in my yard too, but this year, tulips and Lilacs did not get their pictures taken. Next year. So I am pleased to see your lovley presentation. I can almost smell them. I love the angle used and the tiny patch of sky. Wonderful colours.

Wonderful colors of mid spring. The lush green make the ideal backdrop to bring out the light purple lilacs. The old fence bring a bygone days fell to this lovely image.

Hello Dot, I missed this lovely shot of the lilac.The fence really makes this shot for me,it just adds to the composition,as well as holding back the heavy blooms.
