I really think its wonderful when a TL member takes what he learns and does a RP..
I missed your original version.. it is a great pose of this chubby guy... I find the RP to be a dark! So I tried a ws.. I am not sure what PP program you use I will explain what did in WS ok.. But I do love this pose.. and his expression...

Good catch, nice if him to pose like that for you.
As has been said, a bit brighter and more contrasty would help make the squirrel pop out a bit more against the background.
The workshop by Tricia shows the difference.
