I came across this old school while I was out cruising in the country tonight. It sits high on a hill. Just one classroom that probably held grades 1 to 9 at one time.

WOW..out of ALL these old buildings, there has GOT to be one I can live in! As long as I have internet, I don't care what the house is doing! I can handle it! Nice work Karen! Nice off center, good and sharp, nice control of the sky in this one!

Hi Karen,
The angle you chose here had given an impression of loneliness to the old building.

Amazing details, clarity and color. Very nice shot.

Hi Karen,
I like the simplicity of this image, the late afternoon lighting shows the textures of the weathered wood and roof shingles very well.
It might pay to revisit this place periodically, and watch that bush take over.
Also, it would be a good subject for a 'Four Seasons' series.
Cheers,
Pete.

Hi Karen,

i like the loneliness here you captured in great colour & pov. very well done.

dear Karen,
this old building looks like a head. a head of her.
right wall is the face, and two windows are the eyes...but she closed her eyes.
I feel her sensation and imagination now and those of all her old time. it is like in the dreamy story. once the passion surely lived in it...
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Karen,
Excellent detail in this old school. Escellent lighting with shadows on the side of this old structure. I wish my lawn was as green as the grass in your picture.
Great work Karen
Regards,
Kevin

Hi Karen,
The grass looks like a carpet leading to the building ... it offers a nice contrasting texture. Wonderfully captured and presented. Image and color quality is also good. Well done! tfs

Renier

Tomorrow :)

Thanks for your nice critique on "SKY AND CLOUDS".

Hie Karen,

Never thought that such a small and humble structure was once a school. And it's in the middle and on top of a hill. Nice POV to portray this building.

Hong

Hi Karen
Those old country building are a pleasure to look at. Made of wood having housed generations of people whose traces are long gone in time. Lovely POV and colors

Hello Karen,

I like the simplicity, of both composition and building!
Seems like the covered the windows since the place was in use, and I notice the location on this high spot...
Fine details in this interesting documentation of times gone by!

Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello Karen! Wonderful wooden architecture. Beautiful landscape. Nice light and colors. Very nice picture. Well done!

Had to be a small village school to begin with as it doesn't seem very large from this POV .Clear sky and sharp Karen .What a day to shoot this one and you make it appear like a lonely place away from it all ,,,good work on this telephoto shot !
Carol
