she sat there in the garden, buried alive.
months of heavy snows and howling winds,
encased her in crystalline threads.
slowly, hesitantly, perhaps almost unwillingly,
the time came when her cocoon must be agonizingly slowly, pulled back.
winter had no choice but to share her with spring.
so, there she sat, serenity personified, blissfully unaware of the struggle to keep her hidden.
