La Martre ?

The name sounds familiar ? It is the home of a regional landmark . The red lighthouse was just abt 500 m behind me (^_*). See the map for the exact location.

The name is the translation of Marten , an animal in the weasel family, living here.

Our estimated TL gaspesian colleague Annie also posted images from this little village. You may also just do a rapid search typing the
location in your TL search. And I am surprised myhself to discover , beside Annie, only me, Daniel Hébert( Danert) Paul Bélanger ( Oeil magique) submitted photos from this lovely place.

As mentioned yesterday , I have tried to shoot different shots of these familiar places to me. Challenging it was, as weather conditions did not help on many occasions.

Technically. I took the opportunity of the appearance of the sun to stop the car where the road 132 is passing by the rocky beach. You have a good idea of the track of the road following the cliffs. An old road going up the mountain is also visible.

Image uncropped. Just minor contrasts and luminosity in various levels to reveal more details before resizing for TL. Usual neutral framing work.

Cheers!
Robert

Hello Robert,

A beautiful shot is seen here. Steep mountain just on the shore and retaining walls on its bottom are interesting to watch. Moreover, surfing of the waves on deep blue waters is marvellous. An impressive shot my friend, well done.

Thanks for sharing this image.

Bonjour Robert,
Annie!

It looks like there's been a few rough waves, judging by the different layers of seaweed thrown up on the beach by the waves. This reminds me of the east coast of the South Island of NZ when we holidayed there this year.
Having the 3 people in the scene is good too Robert

Funny thing to see your beach shot just after I posted my own because the contrasts are enormous! Your ocean looks very cold and forbidding thanks to the cold colour cast! Excellent composition as usual, with superb human interest in the figures walking away

Hi Robert
Like the way the people are placed between the water and the debris lines that the tide created. This stretch of coast magically overlaps itself.

What a great view Robert!
Love the composition, the colors and the way the image gets more "misty" in the distance.

Lovely!

Cheers,
Anneke
