You did a fantastic job on this shot Silke. Very natural, love the pose, the tilt of the head is nice! The BG is so complimentary to this, the yellow flowers to the right really add to the shot and I really like the bit of blue in front! The backdrop is excellent for this! Outstanding work, I know he will be pleased with this! The tones in his face are really nice and natural! I really do love this closer crop! It’s my mantra these days… closer…closer….

You are very brave, Silke.
Portraits are not easy and you often find yourself 'messing' with them pp to get that effect you see in magazines!
This is lovely.
It is natural, with a direct gaze,(he doesn't appear to be showing signs of embarrassment which often happens with people unaccustomed to posing in front of a camera), perfectly cropped, the skin tones are good, it is sharp and with the right dof.
What more could one ask for?
He'll be employing you to do a photographic slot next time the garden is open.

Just visited Linda , and i saw your link (^_*), therefore a quick late night visit. This one is just perfect Linda . You should post more portraits . Amazing details and sharpness,. The tilted head works very well also. Gorgeous blue eyes this gentleman has.

Just a minor point , I might have reproduced the greens over the blue area or change a bit the tint. I finfit slightly distractive.

But anyway , you nailed is portrait . Well done !
