[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sorry about being so absent from the TL lately .. well I had to leave my beloved Ottawa and move (shift) to the crowded Toronto for a while.

Anyways I know that all of you have been bombarded by these photos of Tulips from all over the world .. We had the Tulip Fest in Ottawa anyways I was way too busy in planning a move to Toronto, so I could'nt really go to the main venue. but there were so many tulips in the city, it was kind of nice.

This is just a normal view along the Rideau Canal. The canal has a path on both sides for joggers, bikers and bladers with lots of flowers and stuff. It was one of the last good day we had ... few days after this day it got kind of cold and it even snowed in the north ... ha ha .. crazy weather.

anyways your critiques regarding how I composed this photo would be welcome

What a nice place for walking! A river at one side, beautiful flower at the other side..
I think you composed good, colors are also nice.. But I couldnt understand why there is no depth although you have these values (f/4.8, 1/640).. Anyway, good shot..

Hello Sarju, Very beautiful photo and I ask mysef the question if it was a photomontage because we had so much terrible weather this may and june :)

Was it taken with a wide angle because of the roundness of the tulips?

This is a beautiful pic of the rideau canal with the tulips in foreground. Next year I will try this spot for the tulips and give it a try. You have good DOF even if the aperture says 4.8F. This is a very good composition.

( look at my name .. smiles ) Very nice photo.
The tulips seem to burst out of the ground to reach the sunlight. Good colors and shrpness..

I like this one a lot. Tulips are always associated to Ottawa for me, becasue when I was a kid, we used to go to Ottawa to go see the tulips every spring.
