Nice shot Silke with the narrow DOF... It's interesting that you've shot into the light here, but it does backlight the little hairy bits on the stem nicely.

A fine macro close up of the flower and buds using backlight. Great sharpness and composed view against the blue sky. The yellow flower really stands out here.

Hi Silke, very pretty weed against the blue sky. These weeds are really very attractive plants. I never noticed them until I had a digital camera!!
I think I would prefer the sunny sides showing in this image - the buds are too much in shadow to see clearly, IMO.
Still nicely silhouetted.

How a "simple flower" could look as beautiful as when you take a photo of it? The lighting is great, and the clouds complete the composition giving it a soft background, not too bright to let the "star" of the photo to shine. TFS

Like this composition. The light in the flower creates a fine contrast. Unless the high f-stop of f/16 I miss some sharpness on the bud. Anyway a nice and cheerful posting my dear!
