Annie,
An original - and succesful - take on the theme, and one which certainly adds an extra layer of interest to what might otherwise be a fairly dull view - considering the weather conditions outside.

Je vois que tu dois déménager sur un magnifique site enchanteur sur les hauteurs du St-Laurent, mais il y aura surement un peu de tristesse à quitter notre ancien lieu .. et surtout les arbres qui sont toujours là et que l'on regarde si souvent,,

I understand the nostalia for things you have always known and loved. Still, as you say, your photographs will serve to keep your memories alive.

I like the subdued tones on this shot. That is what it is often like in winter. The trees have a sort of naked beauty. I like the striped effect against which the trees twigs can be viewed.

I really like this picture, the lines created by the blinds are unique. The trees look great and I like how they start to fade in the distance. I hate that winter is coming soon and this will be my view for many months. Nice work Annie.

This is simply lovely! The mood and softness, combined with the monotone color range, all work together well. Great composition. I especially like the effects of the one drooping brance and also the subtle horizontal lines from the blind. The framing compliments the image nicely. Superb work:)

Wonderful addition to the theme! The b&w image has that cold aspect and feel of a winter's day, with the bare trees forming a natural frame.T he shades give an interesting aspect to the take, as if it were an image seen from an old television set.

Ma foi Annie tu nous replonges dans le milieu d'un hiver que j'avais pourtant volontiers oublié ( et quel hiver !) avec cette photo...lol. Certes une image qui convient fort bien au thème du Vendredi , je soupçonne les persiennes comme avant-plan ici ce qui ajoute une touche chaude puisque prise de l'intérieur de la maison ,et j'aime le traitement de cette image qui n'est pas N&B mais qui fait tout de même très 'couleur hivernale'avec son colori naturel ,j'espère que tu retrouveras d'autres arbres sur ta nouvelle propriété qui te rappeleront ceux-ci !
MDP Annie et bon déménagement ,En passant un gros MERCI pour tes bons commentaires sur mes photos ,

Bonjour Annie,
Tiens, tiens, cette photo fait partie du thème du vendredi "natural framing", que j'ai suivi de loin. Un thème qui, à mes yeux, n'a suscité que très peu de photos dignes d'intérêt. Le piège du cliché...
Mais ta photo est une bien heureuse exception qui confirme la règle!
Une photo d'ambiance, sans conteste: on "sent" cette ambiance dedans/dehors, ce lien avec les arbres qui se maintient en dépit des stores. Des âmes bienveillantes qui veillent sur la maison, même quand souffle la tempête...
Bref: excellente idée, parfaitement rendue...
