[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Obviously going for the cuteness factor here, with a little farm kitten. I love shooting at shallow depth of field, although I start suspecting that my lens suffers from a bit of front focus. There is not much else to be said here, so the note will have to stay short. In case you don't know, kittens are difficult to photograph, and a long lens helps an awful lot catching the impatient beasts.

I'm no great fan of pet shots generally speaking, but this one is great. Poster-quality, you'd sell this one. Front focus not an issue, the DOF and bokeh are fantastic, use of available light is great, and composition spot-on. The cat's
'pose' and particularly the elevated tail is great!

Hi Roland,

Your kitten is similar in coloring to a Tuxedo cat who shared our home for 10+ years. His name was Sammi. Perhaps, sometime, I'll post a shot of him.

You're correct, trying to take a picture of a kitten is not an easy thing to do. They seem to want to do everything at the same time. Your photo is quite cute indeed, and very well done. The focusing is great at the front, and nothing else matters. Excellent colors also. I enjoyed viewing it a lot. TFS.
