[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On my last day in Montreal, about six weeks ago, I took a walk down by the Promenade du Vieux-Port, and saw this couple sitting contentedly on a bench by the bike path, enjoying the new warmth after a hard winter, wrapped up in their own world.

I aimed a quick shot as I passed by, not wanting to disturb them. When I looked at the images later, the couple looked all right, but much of the rest of the image was overexposed. Since the couple is the focal point anyway, I decided to take advantage of the overexposure.

I selected the bench and the couple, and adjusted the levels on the selection, deepening their colors. Then I inverted the selected and used levels to white-out the rest of the image. Then I sharpened and resized it before uploading.

So nice and original. It speaks sentiment. The whole composition says: the world is big enough, but the both of us together, need no more than to be close to each other. Nice job.

This photo brings a lot of memories of my favorite city in North America
This photo is very romantic and a joy to look at.
Thanks for sharing Michael

Nie efect you made with your PP. The couple looks to be alone on the world on this bench.
Good composition, nice colours in very natural mode.
I like the empty space on the bench.
Good one.

Nice PP work, Michael. The bllue jacket really enhances the whole composition. I took the liberty to do a workshop on your picture, just to re-crop an otherwise excellent shot!

Romantic and very well seen.

Hi Michael, your decision to make a white background is good, you created a good image, also like how you framed the coupple on the right. TFS Iris
