No ship tonight.
Instead a little voyage in time. For the Holidays, we visited Martine's Grandfather. We enjoyed two days in Saguenay City. As I worked on Christmas week, we missed the scheduled family reunion . Nevertheless , we were still with Martine's uncle and wife , to enjoy New Years's Eve together and a lovely dinner with him.

When we came back home,on January 2nd we took the panoramic road on on beautiful winter day .i.e high 170 til 138, then all the way SW back to Trois-Rivières. By Noon we arrived at l'Anse-Saint-Jean. I made a detour to the Ski Center to capture a few shots. Here we have a view of the new Chalets and condominiums built. Some are available for rental , some are sold. The overall project is quite cute. The place certainly looked spectacular. I was not dressed properly , and I could not enter the ski center itself, but on that cold and beautiful day, surprisingly, it was pretty quiet on the slops. I guess the people were still feeling the effects of the Holidays (^_^), and stayed home.

Technically . Bright sunshine, and snow. Basically image untouched. The polorizer did the job. Image uncropped, resized and framed.

By clicking on the Map, you will see exactly this group of chalets from my POV ( Point B ).

WOW great light
like how the yellow stands out against the blue tones
TFS

Very sharp and well composed photo. The frame goes well with the pic..

I like the stark lighting! Realistically the image is a little under-exposed - as often happens with 'snow in the sun' shots, but doesn't matter too much in this case..

Cheers
David

HI Robert... The best day to ski is New Year's Eve! Especially night skiing. All of the 20 somethings are out partying... NEVER any lines!

This place looks charming. The blue sky is awesome. I like the quaint look of the chalets. They look like their roofs have icing on them.

Next time.. photo of you on the slopes! Lisa

Une autre très belle photo.
La petite maison jaune apporte beaucoup.
C'est judicieux d'avoir cadré de cette façon.

Merci

France

Crystal clear and well composed, with wonderful light to play up the clean architectural lines and the softer shadows on the snow! The smooth sky and the snow give delightful context to this whole scene. Excellent!

Beautiful work Robert! Your details and attention to levels is just amazing! Excellent sharpness, This is a cool shot..maybe they can pay you for the advertising?? B-)
Linda

Hello Robert, Good strong colours and very good exposure. Your Polarising filter has certainly done its job here. We are heading off to the Canadian ski slopes shortly-hope to do as well as this fine example! TFS
Cheers, Pat.

Hi Robert
What an attractive building this is. It does look new - an old architectural style done in a modern way. (Noticed by the wife of a builder!!)
Good POV taken from this angle
I think it would be a pleasure to stay there too.

Hi Robert, I very much like the blue tones and the framing here. Ideal perspective. The various colours of the units makes this an attractive lodge indeed. TFS. Murray.
