The lasted version
Today I got my new "lens", finally...))))
I guess this afternoon I was like a kid playing with he's new toy.....and I quite enjoyed it.
My last "pro" contract goes all the way back to 1998, I wasn't well to keep the story short.
If, I sometimes argues certains points about Treklens, I can say that it gave me the drive, to start doing it again, on regular basis, and the more I did, the more I felt on doing it. And that was the trigger of everything...feeling like doing it, and feeling good about it.
This afternoon, I shot left and right, getting back to the feel of long lens....I'm a big fan of long lens..))
I only had a 28-55mm to work with the past few years..so it was a pleasure, getting closer to thing.
I stopped by some horses on the Old Montréal Port, that mare, caught my attention right away, and what a personnality she had, here she was parked on the side of the sidewalk, and she and her master, was having a real chat, she was responding to the sound of his voices, with so much interest. And to finish, she was such a beauty. Here a shot of her, shoot with my new Sigma....don't be surprise if my following posting is shot exclusivly with my new gun...hunting season is now open...)))) |

Hey Denis,
Wonderful composition here. I like the horse's head turned to the side. I wish we could see at least one eye, though.
The curves and undulations in the bridle mirror the sinewy muscles of the horse and emphasize his power. That's great.
On my monitor here (which is not the calibrated monitor I usually use), the darkness of the animal seems to have caused you some trouble. There seems to be a loss of detail between the mane and the bridle. I admit that it could be my monitor. You'll probably have to look at a print to decide.
Lovely shot. You are going to make me want to head out to the stables and shoot.

(I prefer Altered Image #2 to #1. That little bit of color really makes the image stand out)
