3) Use torn edges at the border...

Use burn tool and lo! U have an older film photo!.

Nice mood you've created here. I like the rose filtering. If you have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, check into the OptikVerve filters from OptikVerve Labs. It's a free plug-in enabling you to emulate old film photos, from the faded color or b&w, to adding grain, etc. Good luck!
