Fantastic details in this shot Annie. What caught my attention right away, was the beautiful range of colors in the dramatic sky. Soft baby blue .. to dark ominous-looking clouds.
Really like your composition too .. don't see anything that could have been improved. Nice lead-in from bottom left with the road, the rocks look great, the seagull is a great addition, and the distant ship with smoke if also great.

wonderful composition Annie!...the road and the rocks on the side look magnificent in the composition and the clouds add a very dramatic feeling...the colors are very pleasant...

Hi Annie,
good choice of HDR, it works really well with the rocks and has made for an interesting sky. The ship on the horizon is certainly pushing out some smoke

Quel prise de vue , ma foi tu laisses une place importante au ciel et pour la bonne raison , il est splendide ce bleu autant le montrer! Il ne faut pas avoir peur de mettre en évidence ce qui est attirant et photogénique , ce que tu fais dans tes photos et tiens pour la règle des tiers ! Un beau coin de pays avec ses paysages de bord de mer à en couper le souffle !

this delicate and ambivalent feeling in autumn is excellent.
you succeed to capture and express the autumn light and colors, those are not vivid but both cheerful and depressed.
also the characteristic of this season is both ending and starting, like fore and distance in your perspective and composition.

Incroyable, comment une photo dans laquelle les élements pouvant susciter l'attention de nos yeux sont tellement discrets (le phare, le bateau), peut néanmoins la susciter autant - notre attention, je veux dire ;o).
Tout cela grâce à une composition qui combine habilement minimalise et puissance, le tout renforcé par des couleurs qui, pour ne pas être "naturelles", forment malgré tout un ensemble harmonieux qui ne semble pas trahir l'âme et la sérénité du lieu.

Beautiful Annie!! Lovely work, only a slight bow to the horizon, easily fixed in Barrell Distortion Correction. It's due to wide angle lens. It's sharp as a tack! Love the warm and cool colors here! B-)

Une trés belle composition avec cette route,qui tourne et qui donne de la perspective a ton oeuvre.
Le details de ses rochers et de ses hautes herbes qui accroche le paysage. le ciel est tout simplement splendide, le HDR est certainement pour quelques chose.

Hi Annie,
A beautiful setting. A classic composition. I don't know if I like the HDR finish because the water does not look very natural. There appears to be too much noise in the water and the the colour change at the horizon is a bit disconcerting. Don't think I am being overly critical. I like the composition and I think the HDR process changes it a bit to the worse.

What magic!
The sky with its subtle tones of blues and greys appears to be moving outwards!
Neat, precise 'thirds' composition with the emerging road making an interesting curve, ensuring the eyes follow it towards the distant focal point.
Lovely, sharp details. (It was only after careful scrutiny that I realised that there was also a ship on the horizon!)

Hello Annie,
Your supreme compositional skills are again readily apparent in this posting. In reading Linus' critique, it made me realize that it takes time to master Photomatix such that the resulting image does not look 'overcook'. The clouds are mighty fine and well defined. Best regards.

Now THIS is awesome! Everything seems very well set-up and composed. I particularly like the sky in this scene, looks like someone decided to splash a huge bucket of paint everywhere. The curvy road leaves me wondering what's around the corner. You're an inspiration to HDR processing :). Nicely done.
