[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of the areas at the camp Fair Havens Ministries that I work at. The bridge has become know as the kissing bridge.

PP consisted of usual resize, photo was cropped, removed a wire, adjusted RGB level. frame was added and outersection reduced the opacity to 66%.

comments welcome

Now that is RED! I can't wait to see some color like this when I leave tomorrow! This is beautiful! Excellent contribution Wayne, thanks for joining in!

Strong autumn colours on this one!! I think the partial desaturation on the outer frame works well and highlights the colour of the tree on the left very nicely..

David

Hello, I like the way that you have de-saturated the edges to make a frame, it seems to emphasise the bright colours in the centre.
The people and the little bridge add to the composition.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Very interesting presentation of fall! I like the contrast with red and green.
Excellent point of view and composition with the focal point on the tree and small bridge. The partial desaturation can be seen as the symbol of the next season to come, too! Very good work! Annie

Hi Wayne,

Very interesting and imaginative submission! I've never thought of framing like that. The evergreen and changed foliage is quite eye-catching and dramatic. The transition from little colour to full colour makes the inner portion more intense. I like your placement of the bridge too, as well as the overall composition. I think that I would have made a couple of changes, however. For one, I would not have included the small B&W frame around the full colour image, so that there would be an immediate colour shift. I would have also considered Sepia or B&W for the outer portion, in order to create even further contrast. In any case, this is a very effective photo, and certainly in keeping with this week's theme. TFS.

Regards,
John

Highlights the lovely fall colours but spoils the picture for me
Sorry !!

I just commented before that your fall colours are much more vibrant than what we get here in NZ. You temperatures are much stronger too.
It is interesting to see the variations here of the leaves. But sorry, I'm not keen on the desaturated border though!!
Still, a good one for the theme
Janice

There is two points that bothers me in this picture. I don't find that the desaturated edges add to this frame, I find it takes the attention away from it. I also find that the head of the person at the right, desappearing into the foliage, looks a little odd. I would have choosen a lower angle, to include it.

It's well composed, and the actual scene is quite interesting. But personnaly, I would loose the decoration.

Hello,
Excellent addition to the theme. Well done
Best wishes,
Achim

Beautiful fall colors. do you know what kind of tree it is?
Thanks for sharing
Shelby
