Wow Annie ... speechless!!!
Amazing how quickly the weather and the view can change so drastically. LOVE the deep blue color of the sky, and the lights of the village of course. Is the hillside beside the church lit up? It almost looks like lava flowing to the right of the orange lights.
You live in a such a beautiful spot!

Yes, I can see the changes!
It is almost as if the snowstorm has dissolved itself into the sea, allowing the sunshine to come through and illuminate the town.
The trees frame the shot very naturally and, as alwyas, the composition is spot on.

Wow, what a difference half and hour can make with changing weather conditions! What I especially like here is the way you've captured the city lights. I also really like the unusual emerald green of the sea and the bright blue skies with the foreboding clouds bringing them together.

What a drastic difference. The mood is totaly changed here.
The village lights and the bottle green sea creates a great contrast.
Sky and the clouds are lovely and adds a fine effect. I like
the inclusion of the trees in the frame.

Annie, among many other things, this would make quite a fine -- and probably unique -- Christmas card. There are so many things to like about it: The light is what strikes me first -- the ribbon of light marking the road, the brilliant glimmers at the front of the church. The medley of color is nice, too -- the rich green of the water, the bank of cloud, the azure sky -- they all play well together. Finally, you've adeptly, skillfully employed the tripod and the long exposure, and that amounts for much of its special touch. I quite agree with Linda's nomination. This is a truly first-rate image!
