Grand prix of Trois-Rivieres 2005 07:59hrs.
Finlay Motorsports garage. Mechanics are working on suspension, brakes and tyres on Friday morning in order to set up the car for the first practice session.
Here we have the BMW M3 of Mr. Finlay and Michael McDowell who are driving the No. 60 car in the Grand AM GS Serie.
Four guys are actually working on this car including the Mr. McDowell. He is the one working from the right passenger seat.
You realize how hard and fast these guys they work when you are visiting the paddock.
Heartbreaking for these guys, when their car is involved in a crash and they have to fix the car within a matter of hours often changing the whole engine, transmission or suspension in order to get ready for the next session or the race itself. The worst nightmare for them ? A crash at the start of the race, destroying all the works of the weekend.
A standard weekend for them
2 x 40 minutes practice sessions
1 x 40 minute qualifying session
1 x 20 minute Warm-up Session before the race
1 x 120 minutes ( or 150 miles) race
On every occasion, the mechanics are praying the pilots will bring the car back in one piece.
Image uncropped. Adjusted luminosity, colors and contrasts as the working are was in a shaded area.Used the Dral and Light tones on Photoshop 8.0 to achieve that.
All Filtered and sharpened the image to reduce digital noise created.
Cheers!

The blue is so stunning. So typical of a canon camera. The clarity you have achieved is marvelous.
Nice shot of the crew working Robert. good angle and color.
Very crisp and colorful action shot. Great POV and composition, well done!

good colors and details Robert :)
i like the low angle from which you took the shot, cars usually look better when shot from a lower angle, makes them look longer and more streamline :)
Very good photo Robert. I lvoe pictures of cars and this is an interesting photo, on jacks. Lovely colours and fantastic sharpness.
