Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres 09:32 hrs
Grand American Cup GS Serie
The colorful car No. 90 BMW M3 of the Automatic Racing Team driven by Mr. Riddle and Wiilson. Here it is shown in the false grid while the Honda Michelin Challenge serie Qualifying session is underway.
Image untilted. These cars were so close to each other, I could not avoid tilting my camera.I did not want to have the rear of the car parked in front. I decided to use the line of the building as a framing reference.
Image taken from behind a fence hands stretched out over it, pointing down at the car. Good thing there is an adjustgable LCD screen to ease shooting...
Hope you will like it.
Robert

Great shot, Robert! I love the flourescent green of the car. You've done well in your recent series of photos to capture the activity behind the scenes and all the attention to detail that goes into any racing operation. I'd love to post some more of the racing pictures I have, but all I have are 35mm prints and a not-so-good scanner. Nice job on this - keep 'em coming!

BTW, I've noticed the cars use Hoosier tires. Here in the States, the top circuits use Goodyears (NASCAR) and Bridgestone/Firestone (Indy). I don't know of a circuit that runs on asphalt that uses Hoosiers. Here they dominate the dirt tracks. Does Canada have much of a dirt track scene?
