Port of Becancour 16:47 hrs

Sailing is scheduled for 17:00hrs. The river pilot just arrived on board. The ship is about to sail. Tugs are awaiting instructions from the pilot before taking position alongside the ship to receive tow lines.

Looking like a giant smiling robot, close shot of the bow. Note the draught marks on the far right. They should be painted in white to facilitate readings.

Cheers!
Robert

Another nice shot. The colors are impressive. I like the two pilots on the left part. Make a good addition into your composition. Nice.

Très belle composition que ces deux remorqueurs encadrés par la proue de ce navire. De plus les couleurs sont éclatantes et mettent beaucoup de vie dans l’image...
Bravo!
Michel

Fine colours and composition, but I'd be inclined to clone out the cables.

Steve

Hi Robert,
Very nice shot. Great composition. Amazing colors, light and details. Well done
Regards, António

Here I am commenting on another one of your photos. Great perspective and use of colors.

The size of the ship makes the powerful tugs look so small. It's hard to believe they push these big ships.

funny perspective. you know what that big ship in front reminds of? it's not a robot. it's a figure of woman's torso :) well shaped. :) LOL
anyhow. interesting perspective. i agree to Steve that cables could be cloned out. colours are excellent. good one!

L'effet de la masse est impressionnant et je trouve le cadrage originale avec l'ouverture sur les petits remorqueurs.
Grandes et belles couleurs
magnifique

Great capture, Robert. I'm always a little partial to your shipping photos. I need to get over to the Port of Tampa, but I don't think they let people just wander around snapping photos! I like your composition here - the two tugboats tucked into the curve of the larger ship. Nice crisp colors and detail. Nicely done!

Very nice shot. Great composition. Amazing vivid colors, well balanced lighting and details. Well done!
Bravo!
