[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
“Rain coming” is the name of this photograph and it was taken yesterday on a walk at the experimental farm. It rained on and off all day. It was getting late in the evening and the sun tried to peek through the clouds on every occasion. The sun only reached a certain areas of the land. In this particular shot, the shed received the sunshine.
This photograph was level adjusted, smart sharpened, and saved for the web.

What a beautiful moody shot. I love those clouds. You captured a lot of detail in them. The house and grass add nice contrast.

I like the dark side of this picture with the cloud that are coming, the sharpness is excellent and I like the contrasting white of the house that is capturing our eyes. well done.
Luc

Your patience waiting for the perfect light was well-rewarded here, Jim. The scene has a surreal look to it. Love the colors and the sunlight on the shed and grass in the foreground. Well done!

Bonjour Jim,
Vivement votre prochain envoi!

Hello John, very good photo, composition and light for the mood here. Very Maritimes like :)

I like the golden colour on the grass in the fg and the shed pops out with the white but is not washed away.

And magnificent clouds!!! Almost 3d like.

Very well done and well seen, John!

Take care, Yan

cool clouds...uv filter really works...cheers

Hi Jim,
It's a very impressive scenery photo. The clouds are so beautiful. The little white house is nicely contrasted with the background. Only thing I'd like to point out is that your camera was a bit tilted.
Antony

Hi,Jim! This is e very nice picture! The colors are beautiful and the sky is amazing! I did a ws with a different cropping to change the composition.Hoping that you will also enjoy the new version! Michel

Hi Jim,
Very dramatic indeed. I have never seen dark clouds such as these. Outstanding composition.
Sunil

Terrific work Jim, love the reeds in the foreground, they are beautifully lit. and the clouds they are to die for. Great composition too. A cracker.

Peter

Gorgeous colours and scenery, Jim! I love the clouds and the little white house. Nova did a nice cropping workshop. I tried a workshop to correct for the tilt. I hope you like it!
Kind regards,
Annelies

I love the individual dark clouds Jim, very well done. What are the little houses/sheds in the background?

Excellent photograph, Jim. The vegetation on the foreground, the white house on the middle and the lowering sky - together they form a very effective image. I can almost feel the cool wind ushering in the rain.
salil

Love the contrast with the brightly lit house against the stormy sky. Straight to my favorites!

Alli

I really like the way the white house stands out from the background. My only suggestions would be a slight tilt to make the house level, and I might clone out the wires going to the house.

nice picture. like the composition, the skyline , colors . TFS

Wonderful shot.
Very nice colours and exposition.
well done

Hi Jim, well done! The lighting is interesting, looks like one of those great after-the-rain weird lighting situations. I love the clouds and the grass! My only question: is it just me, or is the horizon a bit slanted?

Thanks for sharing!

Erin

superbe !
Belle lumière sur la maison (pas tout à fait droite), et beaux nuages.

Hi Jim,

Great dramatic sky and the house really works well. It seems a bit wonky or is that just me?

Cheers

beautiful composation! TFS

Hello Jim!
What a great light and dramatic sky in your composition!!!
Beautiful colours!
Nice atmosphere!
Best regards!
Lili

Buena foro Jim, excelente en colores...
Quizá el workshop que te han hecho tb lo habria propuesto yo, ya que la encuentro un poco doblada, pero eso no la hace menos buena.
Me gusta!

Saludos.

Hi Jim...

Nice capture with excellent exposure, detail and sharpness. However, the image suffers from the horizon being off-level, and could use some post-processing to reveal its true dramatic potential. I've done a WS in black and white to give an example of what I mean. Hope you like it.

hello jim. great picture. the wind seems to be blowing very hard with the clouds racing along and even the land and building seem to have a tilt to them from the wind! best, phil
