This is my architectural illustration of the design I did for my office Townley Matheson and Partners, Architects. I was then a designer for that office. Our office entered it in a national architectural competition. When our office won 4th. place in the competition they made me a permanent employee. The drawings I did where done on 30" x 40" illustration boards. There were 6 boards of drawings including the plans and elevations. The proposed building shall have a rough concrete finish, on the exterior and the interior using exposed concrete aggregate finish. This photo shows my drawing of the elevation that faces St Marys Boulevard and the drawing below is a view of the interior. I cannot remember who won the competition but their design was built and it now stands in Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada. If I remember correctly it stands in a triangular city block bounded by Memorial Street, St. Mary Boulevard and Colony Street.
There is no ECIF data. My only records are photographs that I scanned. The pp work I did is to remove my notes on materials proposed to be used and the name of our office. That way I can crop the photo closer for bigger images when postied. |

Marvellous montage Andre, love the charcoal effect of the drawing style you have achieved. Terrific shot.

Hey I like it a lot Andre! It reminds me of a library I've visited (can't remember exactly) previously.
Congratulations on this wonderful achievement btw Andre! Thanks for sharing :)
Hi Andre,
I love the texture you achieved within this drawing. Oh I must say my first love drawing has gone by such the way side since I've come to enjoy the ease and undo of computers. Although my drawing skills do come in handy when needed.
So this is a straight ink drawing? Very cool. I always loved the contrast of drawing with ink and especially the challenge of being consistant and no undo or erase with this medium. :O)
Very nice Andre, very nice.
