The morning of October 5, Autumn is here and gone - Winter has started - one of our regular morning excercises at the start of the day - scrape the ice off the windshield to see the ice we are about to drive on.

Brr! Lucky us, we haven't had the frosty mornings yet. I love this everyday shot of the morning ritual. The motion blur on the arm and hand is good. I like too that you composed the background view in the scene too. Well done.

It looks damp and cold (like a Belgian winter). Here we've not even reached full fall yet. great shot, love the movement of the arms (that is one big scraper you have there !) and the background.

Hi Sam,
Great situation report! And a reminder of something soon to happen here too... I like your composition, focusing on what is important and leaving out most of the person actually doing the job...
Regards,
Pablo -

Hi Sam

A good daily life scene from Canada. I like the diagonal in the compo. Well done!

Hi Sam,
Good action shot. Like the capture of movement. It really looks hard (I know it's not really), but, the suggested movement looks really strong. I like how you're not zoomed in too close...this way, you retain the sense of place and we can see it's in someone's driveway and a big part of daily life. Good work! How I don't miss the snow...today's high is around 81F/27C. Just think warm thoughts. ;)
Take care.
Richard

Funny moment! 15 minutes more to get on the road. Big scrapers you have; mine is short and ahs the size of matchbox. Well, we all have our own problems ;).
Thanks Sam

Winter is coming early for you out West, Sam. It was really cold when I was in Calgary a few weeks ago and there was snow one of the day I was there. This is a really good picture showing this "popular" activity of winter and the frosted & foggy background adds a lot to this picture. Well done!

The background in the photo is very well portrayed and adds to the cold feeling of the shot. It portrays that frosty morning quite accurately. Nice alliteration for the title.
