Bee gathering pollen on my Mallow Tree. This shrub is called a Mallow Tree, or 'Lavatera trimestris'. Lavatera is one of the most versatile plants in the garden. It makes a nice medium height, or low growing hedge, screen or mixed border. It is very easy to grow from seeds, and it will re-germinate ever year. It is also drought tolerant once established.
It will remind you of hibiscus and hollyhock, to which it is related. |
