[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My garden. Macro mode. Taken in the morning. I've tweaked shadows and midtones, cropped on the right and bottom. Sharpened it (a tad too much - looks a tad too harsh - but stillunsure as too how it will appear after uploading )- I notice with the Canon A80 the focus tends to be a bit soft (for my tastes) even before editing.I'm looking forward to the time I can afford a more 'complex' camera, but for now, it's not too bad for beginners,like myself.

Lynn, this is a good shot. Sometimes when the image appears too sharp on screen, it looks excellent on print. Print a 5 x 7 and I bet it will be pin sharp.

Beautiful flower, beautiful photo, a promising beginning in the numerical one.
Good continuation.

A difficult flower to shoot, Lynn. But you did well. The flower had a good emphasis due to the good DOF. Perhaps a tighter crop from top, bottom and right would do no harm. TFS.

Great macro on an overlooked flower. Good composition - i don't think it looks harsh as you say, i like the contrast with the dark background.
