[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
St. Jacob's is a small town around 1 hour to the west of Toronto. This area is a Mennonite area (people who wear Black Hats and beards, don't beleive in the modern conveniences, farm..) They do not own cars.. they still travel by horse and buggy.

On Saturdays, their is a large market in St. Jacobs..(very small town by the way) where you see many of the mennonites. This is a picture of a couple of their horse and buggys.

I have been experimenting with B&W/Colour combos:

1. Sharpen
2. Select Horses - and shadows beneath them.. levels, colour adjustment, saturation
3. Select Sky and background: levels, channel mixer - monochrome and played around to get dramatic clouds effect.
4. Neat Image - a lthough I did not mind the original grainy image

I like your manipulation techniques for desaturation; however, I'm not sure about the clarity - is it a little blurry, too sharp or false grain? I like the bar going across for composition and also think just a crop of the first horse would make a great picture too
