Here's another entry to the scav hunt.
My cat "Puddy" a Norwegian Forest Cat, showed me her pink tongue for the pink entry.

Hand held the 20D and used the Canon 580EX wrapped in a bubble pack for diffusion for fill flash.

il y a juste à admirer, rien a dire! elle est terriblement belle et bien prise! quel reflexe!
bravo!!!!!!!!!

excellent colors and details Mike :)
the lighting is superb, great control
thanks for the tip with the bubble pack flash :)

Mieeeeeaaaauuuuwwwwwwwww............!

Very striking image with nice impact. Timing had to be just right, well done. Great mood created by the colour together with the rest of the image. DOF nat bad, although I feel the bottom jaw is slightly not sharp to my liking - F8-F11 would have perhaps have done it.

Il n'y a pas dix minutes, je martyrisais mon chat chéri pour faire la même photo que toi. Toi tu as réussi...! Et fort bien. Bravo. Amitié, Patty.

Hi Mike,
I've been waiting for a few hours now for your promissed shot - and here it is!
O yes, so cute.
You have a wonderful cat and you captured her at a wonderful moment. A great idea for the pink hunt, I love it, thanks and bye

Hi Mike

I like the tight crop & frame on the yawning cat. Good dof & sharpness. Tfs

Brilliant, don't you just love cats? They have to be the most chilled creature on earth.
Sleep, stretch, eat, wash, stretch, sleep and repeat all over again ;-)
A great image, excellent close up - what a cutie.
Thanks for sharing.

Who's heavy metal singer is this:-))
Excellent portrait and cropped in a nice way, maybe some sharpness on the inside, but when I see the teeth, there's sharpness enough:-))
I like it, Mike !

Grroooaarrr!! I'm a tiger!

If nobody tell him that he his just a cat.. Even him will believe it's true :)

Nice capture.. Not easy to find well! and with a good sharpness!

Hi Mike. Amazing. One of the best 'cat scan' on TL - leaves a yawning gap between this and the one following. Kudos.
Mukesh

What a fine photo, Mike. Her eye-area is sharper than her tongue, but the face she makes and your timing are both great. I've seen this view a lot. Another really good shot that I need to try to make sometime is with the cat and dog playing.
Regards,
"Suh"

Funny shot, Mike! The whiskers really make this photo, creating nice, contrasty lines. Excellent!

Great shot.
A cat "different" from which it is seen habitually.
Thanks for the originality.
Regards.

Hi Mike, Looks fierce but bet its not. Great sharp shot. TFS, Paul.

Hi Mike,
fantastic shot! But I think I can't show this to the dogs around here ...
Great crop!

Great shot Mike! Puddy almost jumps out of the picture here with that tight crop and the whiskers giving a kinda 3D effect. Well done Mike

Hi, Mike.

Your “Puddy” looks like tiger :).
Great shot!!! Right timing.
Don’t know why pink is always a girly colour in my mind :), you’ve shown that it’s not.
Alla.

What a cutie. I love your cat. Great shot!

Good timing Mike. Great shot. :D

WOW! this reminds me of a nightmare I had once, when I awoke screaming at my husband to get 'the cat off my toe'. In my dreams he looked exactly like this, and he fixed his teeth into my toe and held tight....now I can laugh, but it was sure scary at the time. I love this image even if it does bring back bad memories. You caught it just right and it is a very expressive shot of the cat...gives me the shivers!

Hi Mike, great shot, these cats have never much to do but yawning :)

Lovely pink tongue and nice almonds eyes wide shut :D

Great details and good close-up.

Take care, Yan

P.s. what is Canon 580EX and what is fill flash ?

Hello Puddy. I can see you sitting there for ages waiting for her to yawn! How many did you miss Mike? I like your crop too. Well composed, thank you...

Amazing :o))) Congratulations!

Well impressed. either you were very lucky or very patient!! Trying to capture my mad cats doing that would be a tad hard! This is one of my favourite cat shots. Well positioned and love the colours & focus. Well done!!!
