Sun Yat-Sen Classical Garden

In the heart of bustling downtown Vancouver B.C., Canada, Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden offers a cultural experience. It is a feast for the senses and the mind, acclaimed for providing peace, tranquility, and delight for the nature lover, cultural tourist, philosopher, and sightseeing visitor.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen is credited with leading the 1911 revolution that finally overthrew the Qing dynasty. He became the first president of the Republic of China in 1912, but after only a few short months in office he resigned as President and devoted his efforts to the economic development of China. A struggle and battle which he endured for the rest of his life.

Since his death in 1925, Dr. Sun Yat Sen's persona has evolved into a heroic symbol of modern China. He is canonized as Kuo Fu, the Father of the Country.

I like very much the effect of this picture especially with the unknown girl sitting there looking at the garden...

Salut Stephan,

Jolie composition ici. J'aime bien le fait qu'il y ait quelqu'un en train de contempler ce jardin.
Je ne savais pas qu'on pouvait trouver de tels jardins au Canada.
TFS!

Marc.

Hi Stephen
Well done here , great shot. Could be from the movie
'Shogun' Bye Rob

Um excelente registo, num lindo local e com um bom enquadramento, parabens

Excellent framing in this photo. The subdued lighting works well by drawing attention to the girl in the center. Thanks for the note.

I remember this place. Spent many an hour wandering here. Took far too many pix but have lost them all. So, thanks for the memory. The scene and its symmetry would work on its own but the girl adds hugely.
Thanks again. I will return with a medal for you later.
Keep looking, keep thinking.
