Not in Black in White

Yes! This photo is in color but somehow everything seems to be devoid of color! The water, the the boat and the strped black and white deck. The only color noticeable here are the tinted glass of the boat's windshield and the rope. I do not know the reasons why it turned out like this. Can someone explain it to me? I did not do anything special on my post processing software.

Excellent exposure and a very interesting composition
Excellent, Andre! I'm definitely seeing color in the water - a dark bluish-green, so it's fine! Your tones are great, and it's so crisp. Good job.
