[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Second in a series called elements. The focus is on the 4 basic elements - earth, water, air, and fire. It is an experiment for me and I will try to capture only those basic elements in each shot.

This photo was taken at a resort in Mexico at the pool. The timing worked well to capture the sun's reflection, however I had to crop a little more than I wante to keep the people out of it.

PP: crop, border, text, and sized to fit the web.

I like the reflections of the sun off the water. Very neat.

Nice job, it is sometimes hard to take a good picure of water as it is ever changing. You did a good job. Keep up the good work.

Interesting series, I think. I liked all three of them so far, maybe a little less this one ("Fire" is my favorite). I enjoy here the simplicity of the composition (as in the 2 others) and the success in focusing only on the element. However I feel that it shows a little too much that the water is "captive", that it comes from a pool, and reflections of light at the very top are a bit too strong. Maybe if you had been more parallel to the water, we could have seen the colors of the water better.
These are just ideas, not really critiques, since I find your serie very coherent and interesting.

For the air, hmmm... Not easy. Clouds? Smoke? Just a plain blue sky with the trace of a plane?

Well, here's the design side of you showing again, Aaron, and you've made a good job of it here, as far as I'm concerned.
I like the way you've isolated just this part of the pool and framed it so efectively. Good thinking about the theme as a whole, and very inspiring. Now you've got me thinking about themes, myself!
Good exposure, too.
Yours,
Andrew.

your "water" pretty much gives the idea of the represented element... made me realize I'm thirsty! and I wouldn't mind a bath in the sea or pool either! well done and TFS

Hello Aaron, very refeshing shot. This look like a picture from a resort. Very nice mood. The water texture is beautiful. How about a shadow in the letters of the bottom? Well done, Gabriel

Love the metallic feel of water
You can play around with the white balance to get very dramatic effects on the water...
