Tula is an archaeological site that was the probable capital of the ancient Toltec civilization. It was an important city from about AD 900 to 1150 reaching a peak population of 35,000. Rather small compared to other sites near Mexico Cty like Teotihuacan but still Tula is an absorbing site .It is best known for its fearsome 4.5m-high stone warrior figures called 'Telamones '.
What you see here sits at the top of a pyramid also known as the temple of Quetzalcoatl , pillars and warrior figures supported the temple's roof .
A clear blue sky was present all day , enjoyable and gorgeous weather in the central valley at this time of year allows visitors to sightsee these places in ideal conditions .
Cropped , corrected some distortion as the pillars appeared slanted to an acceptable level, added a bit of contrast, a frame and text,

Hola Carol,
atractiva postal,
bonito composición y encuadre.
saludos amiga.
Nice the picture, sharpness and well made, but the word "tolmec" is incorrect. The archeaological culture of Tula, Hidalgo as known as Tollan Xicocotitlan is called "toltec" civilization. Saludos :)
