[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
La Nostalgia - one of the landmark statue along the Malecon strip in Puerto Vallarta. The beautiful seawall boardwalk streaches the length of downtown Vallarta along the Playa de los Muertos beach and provides a way to take in the beauty of the ocean, the bay, the beaches, the downtown area as well as the mountains.

I particularily liked this statue which features a couple in love and is the romantic one amongst them all. I decided to include in the shot the nice shadows the sun was making in front of the statue... I can't remember what exactly created the shadow this way but it looks like laces. With the sea and the nice blue sky I thought this was overall a very pleasing shot. I am interested in your opinion, so tell me what you think!

PP Talk: Taken as is, just cropped a bit of blue sky on top for a better impact and focus on the statue and the shadows...(applied the rules of third which worked well here), framed for the web.

Salut Marie-José,
Que c'est beau la chaleur du sud et j'aime comment tu as capturé cette statue avec les ombres et la lumière qui donnent beaucoup de textures à l'environnement. J'aime aussi c'est lignes horizontales des briques.

What a nice photo this is with a good deep sharp view.
I have seen the photo's of the Montreal meeting and talked to Luc and John a few times over the phone and did hear nice stories about that evening.

John and Luc asked me to come to Montreal meeting too but I had to work :-(( maybe a next time.

Bonne idée de nous faire connaitre cette belle oeuvre d'arts. L'éclairage avec ses parties ombragées donne en effet une ambiance spéciale. Ce lieu semble être très propre.

Bonjour Marie-Jose, quelle belle photo de cet endroit que je n'ai jamais eu la chance de visiter. Bon usage de la regle de 3 en effet.

L'emphase est sur la statue et j'aime beaucoup voir l'arriere-plan qui attire mon regard vers le rivage au loin, les montagnes et les batiments.

Les couleurs sont tres belles et naturelles. Bon control de la lumiere.

ps: merci beaucoup pour la critique sur "Golden Retriever Playing in the snow". Je suis tres heureuse que tu l'aimes. Desolee pour ne pas avoir repondu plus tot, je cours apres le temps :)
