[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my 100th posting!!! And what better way to celebrate than to show some of the decorations placed around the seawall on Cozumel for their Carnvial. It happens the same dates as our Mardi Gras.

Cozumel is well known as one of the premier diving destinations in the world. But many do not know that Carnival Week on Cozumel is one of the most colorful and biggest celebrations in Mexico. It is a week of parades, dance, costumes, music and street carnivals. Almost all work stops and everyone joins in the dancing and celebration. Schools, clubs, and community organizations spend weeks making floats, costumes, and practicing their dances and music. The competition increases every year and the result is evident in the elaborate costumes and floats.

Children are a big part of the celebration. From the darling four year old in the horse drawn wagon to the hip teenagers, all join in the excitement, until they fall asleep about 2 a.m., while their parents are still dancing.

Tourists are encouraged to participate and dance. Some join in the parades, especially those who can really dance or play an instrument. The warmth of the people in Cozumel is never more evident than during Carnival.

I enjoy that detail! For the ornement of course it's colorfull! and a little surprising i would say! For the context of the 100th it's a cool idea!
But that detail... Funny how away the colors of water turn to an incredible color! Like if it was not the same movement of water almost :) But it's most the sky and the bottom of the water

Congratulations for this special day . The first 100th one is the most difficult one. I hope to see many hundreds more funny posts and notes from you (^_^)

I am sure you took this good opportunity to shake your bonbon (^_^). The dancers are soooo good, and so pretty too! When we visited Playa Del Carmen, we went to the disco almost everynight to dance with the gang! OOOOOLLLLLLEEEEEEEE !

Very good PP work in adding your own personal touch here.
I like the blue line of the water leading my eye to the subject. Mardi Gras must be photographic heaven. The composition works here as the boat maintains the balance of the subject going off to the right with something interesting to the left.
