Puerta Costa Maya has many acres of unspoiled coastal land, vast natural resources and rich historic and cultural influences, Costa Maya offers a true insight into the essence of the Mayan culture and the heritage of the Mexican Caribbean. It also has the largest concentration of Mayan archeological sites and existing Mayan population in Mexico.

Costa Maya is the Western Caribbean’s first port designed exclusively for the cruise ship industry, it is located just hours from Cancun on Mexico’s southern Yucatan Peninsula. Resembling an ancient Mayan city, Costa Maya is able to accommodate three ships at once and an is an entertaining destination that showcases the ancient and colonial heritage of the Mexican Caribbean with all of today’s conveniences. Set against the deep turquoise sea, Costa Maya is comprised of three grand pavilions, artisan and luxury shopping areas, a beach club, saltwater pools, fine restaurants and bars, and all the resources necessary to explore the surrounding jungle and coral reefs. It is the truly a complete and diverse port of call providing cultural, natural and archeological excursions. Costa Maya is one of only six ports in the Western Caribbean to receive over one million passengers per year.
Taken from the Offical Tourist Guide of Costa Maya!

I made a faux pas here folks!!! I did not know that this gentleman posed with you for a price. Needless to say camera in hand I snapped a shot and he noticed me when I raised my camera, that is the reason for the rather nasty look on his face!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day of photo hunting!

I got caught like this at the Guiness factory in Dublin, Ireland!! And I had to pay when all I wanted was a photo of his horse!

Interesting shot Fran. The head on its own must be from a scary historical story. TFS

Merhaba Fran, my friend...
It's a wonderful and very colorful composition, indeed... Also very humorous... The point of view, the colors and the details are perfect... Of course great shot... Also thank you for your detailed note...
TFS...
Stay well..
Salim.

I see the scene with a certain amusement. Ho i believe that many country do the same... There is sometime some prestations with natives here too! But the elements are so big that we obtain a major cliché and the guy seem to asking ancestors... What's i'm doing here... Were are the real traditions?!
I enjoy the scene who is overload! Smell more holiday they real archaeologist trip :)
Nice scene!

Hello Fran !

An interesting souvenir shot ( LOL !)

Many funny details in it,, almost like a Where is Charlie book Page ! ( LOL !)

Athough some are a bit distracting.

The good ones:
I like your main subject, looking at you . A big Plus with his Poker face (^_^).
The guy leaning forward against the statue ( LOL !)
The smiling buried head ( Looks like Inspector Gadget was on vacation there too )
The fellow shooting his friend in the BG ( Too bad we do not see her completely ).

The distracting ones:
The gents sitting behind the flag.
The lonely leg with the blue short , behind the statue could have been cloned.
The left part of the statue is missing. It could have been interesting to see it as well.

But I must say , pretty difficult task, to get all this checking all these details in a matter of a few seconds to frame adequately all this action ! Some could be corrected with Post processing at least.

Thanks for sharing this funny moment.

Cheers!
Robert

I remember this one in the raw so to speak. The look on this chaps face is very much like some of the looks I get in town. LOvely colours FRan it came up quite well. Exhaustive notes sent me to my atlas to see exactly where this place is. Well done and TFS,
David

Hi Fran, another nice colourful photo of the Mayas's festival. The man is very well painted. The big orange wall and the palm tree make a nice backdrop with the grey pyramid in the back.

Well composed and pov.

Great work! Have a great day! Yan :)

ps: thx so much for the crit on "Gatineau Park, Visitor Center". It was very useful!

Hello Fran what a nice idea girl! The diffrence between the two, the well build youngman in front and the big big tourist in the back :-) TFS
Vandana

On second thought I think I stay home on my beach in Holland. He looks mean! A real killer
TFS Franny!
John
