[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This palm leaf (Sabal yapa) was and is used since ancient times for making the roof of the houses of Mayan people. The ones on the photo are old huano leaves tied together. A thatch roof will last aproximateley 5 to 6 years, providing thet it is not on a shady place, for that will cause to rot in less time.

I really love the idea of what we see in the photo is what we see outside.. A frame full of your subject.. Details are nice and so is the light vs shadows.. I only wish the photo was larger! We can upload 800x600 on TL and I think that may have shown more details
