The Temple of the Warriors

The Temple of the Warriors and its adjacent Temple of the Jaguar are the most awe inspiring ruins on the complex. A massive temple structure, surrounded by hundreds of columns is carved with reliefs. Still early morning, I wandered into the rows of columns with the sun just breaking through.

The columns continue on into the jungle, that part of the temple still has not been restored. It's an unsettling sight to see how easily the forest has reclaimed the area. What unanswered questions lay under the canopy of leaves and beneath the twisted roots. -Mysterious Places

This was amazing the way the columns just went on and on. I created another tryptich. I like this format, because I can post more pictures at once. That way, I don't have to grag on a topic for days. I hop you like.

Wow - this is really beautiful Amy. Kudos for brilliant conceptulisation and execution. You have also managed here the feeling of endlessness of columns. Very artistically done.

Hi Amy,
Cool...you're putting together some really nice vacation shots. The way you have your montage set up with the columns on the side...and the temple in the middle...reminds me of how churches used to be built...with those flanking hallways...it's an interesting comparison for me. So neat...good work.

I like each of the pictures but I am not certain if I like the montage as I think it does not have enough space between the pictures and I feel that I am missing details as it gets pretty busy - but that is very much a personal opinion & preference. Otherwise, each picture is just great with lots of nice details giving us a good impression of the place. Well done!

Sorry, I have run out of green smiles!!!

Hi Amy,
Very good perspective on the temple. you had great sky to compliment your pictuer.
I like the way you edited the picture to have depth.
Friendly,
Udi.

Amy,
Nice triptych! Chichen Itza is one of the coolest places on earth. I am always amazed at the cultures that once existed in the Americas before the Spanish arrived. It would be a marvel to see what they could have accomplished.
Good use of border and text. One of my favorite shots.
Keep shooting,
Aaron

Hi! Amy. Nice picture! I like the way you put the picture togheter in one. Well done!
